UAE National Day holidays: 5-day break for public sector

On the occasion of the UAE's National Day, all ministries and federal departments in the country are to be closed from Tuesday, December 2, 2014 to Thursday, December 4, 2014, with work resuming on Sunday December 7, 2014.

This means the public sector will have a 5-day break on the ocassion.

Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources said today that the announcement is part of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and following the orders of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Al Hammadi noted, “On this occasion, we extend congratulations to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Supreme Council Members, Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates, wishing them good health."

He also congratulated the UAE and the Arab and Islamic nations on this national occasion.
