A 33-year old Emarati corporal with the Fujairah police has laid claim to the title of shortest policewoman in the world.
Corporal Aisha Al Hamoudi has officially informed the Guinness Book of Records of her height - 88 cm – and reported Al Bayan newspaper.
Speaking during a Women's Police Conference in Abu Dhabi yesterday, Corporal Hamoudi said that she aspires to study further to grow in her profession.
She said, “The centres of the Ministry of Interior for the rehabilitation and recruiting of those with special needs have done a great job of supporting me, my education and allowing me to join the Fujairah Police.”
Aisha graduated her course at the Interior ministry in Al Ain in 2006.
