A Bahrain F-16 jet involved in Arab coalition military drive to quell an Iranian-backed coup in Yemen crashed in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday but its pilot was not hurt.
Saudi newspapers said the US-built plane developed a technical failure before it crashed in the Southern Saudi Jazan province near the border with Yemen.
They quoted a Saudi military spokesman as saying the pilot ejected out of the aircraft before it crashed in a valley in the province.
Bahrain is a member of the coalition which is led by Saudi Arabia and comprised of the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Sudan and Morocco.
Ajel newspaper said a Saudi resident in the area captured the incident by his mobile phone.
