Video: Car catches fire in Hatta…driver safe

A Mercedes caught fire as it was travelling in the UAE border town of Hatta but its driver managed to jump to safety.

Civil defence men in that area managed to bring the blaze under control after it badly damaged the luxury car.

The Arabic language daily Emarat Alyoum quoted police and civil defence sources as saying the driver was safe and that an investigation is under way to determine the cause of the fire.
