Wife burns herself after husband’s marriage

A Palestinian woman with two little children made a fatal reaction to her husband’s marriage of another woman by pouring petrol on her body and setting herself ablaze at her house in Gaza, newspapers have reported.

The unnamed woman, in her 20s, was rushed to hospital with a charred body but doctors said she was already dead.

“Authorities are investigating the incident but initial reports showed the woman committed a suicide after her husband married another woman,” a police spokesman said, quoted by newspapers.
