A Saudi woman was bitten by a poisonous snake while walking back home in her village in the Gulf Kingdom but survived after having treatment at hospital.

Three weeks later, she was bitten by a wasp and died.

The 26-year-old woman was returning home from a shop in her village nearly 130km from the southwestern town of Najran, when she was bitten by the snake.

She was rushed to hospital where she was treated with antibiotics and discharged a few days later after she fully recovered, Sabq newspaper said.

“Three weeks later, the woman was bitten by a wasp and was taken to the same hospital, but she died just as she was admitted,” it said.

Dad says he found spiders in dead twin’s body

A Saudi man whose twins died at hospital after birth accused doctors of causing their death and said he found spiders and ants inside their bodies.

Abdo Abdul Hadi said he doubted a medical report issued by the hospital in the southern Saudi province of Jazan, saying his wife had diabetes and that his twin girls died of blood poison.

“My wife was in a good health and never had any insulin for diabetes.
“There is much contradiction in the report. I also found spiders and ants inside the bodies of my twins,” he told Al Saudeh daily.

“The doctors who were treating them caused their death. I call on health authorities to investigate this case.”
