A Moroccan woman was charged with stabbing a man from her own country during a quarrel that escalated and resulted in the tragedy in an apartment in Al Khan, Sharjah.
The Sharjah CID officers were informed about a young man who had been stabbed by a woman. The police officials reached the crime site with an ambulance and immediately got the injured man transferred to the nearest hospital.
The police began its investigation by interrogating the injured person after his condition stabilised in the hospital.
The victim in his statement to the police said that a young woman hailing from the same country had stabbed him with a broken liquor bottle during a fight in the apartment where they lived.
The police officials tracked the woman to a hotel in the neighbouring emirate where she was hiding. She denied all charges.
