An official says 10 people were killed when an overcrowded bus veered off a mountain road and fell into a rocky stream in Indian-controlled Kashmir.
Another 50 of the 70 passengers were injured in the accident Saturday morning.
Disaster management official Pankaj Kumar said the vehicle plunged about 325 feet (100 meters) into the ravine after the driver lost control at a sharp bend about 50 miles (80 kilometers) south of the region's main city of Srinagar.
Road accidents kill more than 110,000 people each year in India.
