Baby with 8 limbs sees thousands cry on street

A newborn in West Bengal, India, has eight limbs – four hands and four legs, reported Central European News and thousands are flocking to see the baby dubbed the ‘God baby’.

Curious believers from neighbouring villages are thronging the place and police are finding it difficult to control the crowd, according to Foxnews.

Hundreds of people are reportedly crying on the streets and praying.

A relative of the family was quoted as saying that though the nurse announced the child was ‘badly deformed’, he could see it was a ‘sign from God’.  “This is a miracle, it’s God’s baby,’ the relative was quoted as saying.

According to doctors, this is a condition known as ‘parasitic twin’, wherein the remains of the baby’s twin is joined to the baby in the womb.
