Cat on a hook in Kuwait...

A cat strolling on a beach in Kuwait was caught in the fishing hooks of amateur fishermen and started groaning in pain before it was saved at hospital.

A Kuwaiti man who was having his daily morning stroll at the beach in the capital Kuwait City heard the cat mewing and rushed to the place where it was lying.

The Arabic language daily 'Al Watan' said the man was shocked when he saw several hooks stuck in the cat’s head and body and decided instantly to call for help.

“The cat was picked by the civil defence men, who managed to cut off all the hooks and remove them from the cat’s body. It was later taken to a hospital where it was treated by vets,” the paper said.
