This man’s story sounds strange and yet pathetic because his family lacks safe drinking water.

Bhagat from a village in the Indian state of Maharashtra has three wives so that his family gets water to drink, reports ‘AsiaOne’.

There are no taps in his village, Denganmal. And the only source of water is from two wells at the foot of a nearby rocky hill. And that place is so crowded, it’s a daunting task to fetch water in the sweltering heat every single day.

Bhagat married second time because he is busy on his farm and his first wife has no spare time after taking care of kids, and he wanted someone to fetch them water.

And when the second wife took ill, he brought home his third ‘water wife’.
