Man waits 15 years for dentist appointment

A 23-year-old Bahrain man waited for nearly 15 years to be called by the dentist to confirm his appointment, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

The man, identified as Hussein, said he visited the dentist in the capital Manama with his father when he was around eight years old but was told he would be placed on the waiting list and would be called later, the Arabic language daily Al Wasat said.

“I was surprised when I received a call this week from the clinic telling me to come for the appointment…but I told him that I came to the clinic 15 years ago and calling me now does not make sense,” Hussein told the paper.

The report quoted Hussein’s father as saying he called the clinic to joke by telling them to change the appointment into Hussein’s son.
