A four-month-old infant is being cared for by hospital staff in Thambuttegama Base Hospital, Sri Lanka, after the teenaged parents refused to accept their baby, reported ‘Mawbim’.
The baby’s mother is just 13 years old and the alleged dad 14, the report added. The youngster has been taken into custody on charges of sexual abuse.
However, he denies to take custody of the child claiming that he did not father the baby.
According to hospital sources, the baby is undergoing treatment for a couple of complicated diseases.
Department of Probationary is investigating the matter and will take custody of the baby until the inquiry is completed.
