A 22-year-old man from Saudi Arabia suffering from constant nosebleeds went to the doctor only to discover that he had a tooth growing in his nose.

The man found was told he had a white bony mass measuring half an inch in length growing in his nasal cavity, according to a report in the Metro, which quoted a study published in the American Journal of Case Reports.

The 'intranasal supernumerary tooth' was scratching the inside of his nose, causing the bleeding, the report said.

Doctors from the King Fahd Military Medical Complex in Dhahran were particularly surprised at the nose-tooth because the man in question had an almost perfect set of teeth in his mouth, according to 'Live Science'.

After being put under general anaesthetic, the tooth was removed successfully.
