Blind woman bangs her head on table... sees again

Published

A woman from Auckland miraculously regained her sight after she banged her head on a coffee table. Lisa Reid has been blind since age 11, as a result of a tumour pressing down on her optic nerve.

She knelt down to kiss her guide dog goodnight and hit her head on the coffee table. She woke up the following morning to discover she could see again, reported Mirror.

The 38-year-old mother-of-one claims it's 'fantastic' and 'amazing' to be able to see again. But one of the 'most shocking things' was to see her 'brother turned into a man'.

Though, she is still legally blind, her vision is partially restored.

Reid shared her story to raise awareness of New Zealand’s Blind Foundation, which helps her with her visual impairment.
