A bride-to-be filed a $100,000 lawsuit against her ex-fiance whom she said dumped her four days before their wedding, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

According to the suit filed in Cook County Circuit Court, Dominique A. Buttitta and Vito V. Salerno were supposed to get married this fall after dating for three years.

Buttitta said she only found out there was something wrong when Salerno started telling mutual friends the wedding was off.

Salerno then dumped her four days before the wedding, after she had already spent almost $100,000 on wedding-related items, the lawsuit alleges.

The suit - claiming breach of promise to marry and intentional infliction of emotional distress - seeks more than $95,000 in damages plus costs of the lawsuit.
