Laundry worker returns money found in washed clothes

An Asian laundry worker returned nearly Dh8,800 to its owner in Saudi Arabia after he found the sum in trousers he had just ironed, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The worker also found a piece of paper with the money saying that the sum had been raised by friends to help a man move to another house.

“The worker called his sponsor who phoned the owner of the trousers to tell him about the SR8,800…the thankful customer was given back all his money,” Sada daily said in a report from the southern Saudi town of Bisha.
