A 15-year-old Emirati boy died after falling off a high mosque minaret in Dhaid while hunting for pigeons, newspapers reported on Saturday.
The boy was rushed to hospital unconscious with brain bleeding and fractures in various parts of his body but he died later.
Eye-witnesses said they saw the boy clutching to the loudspeakers fixed on top of the minaret when he plunged down after one of the devices fell off.
