Ligue 1 side target Arsenal's 'Ronaldo'

Arsenal winger Ryo Miyaichi is a target for Ligue 1 side Valenciennes, according to talkSPORT.

The Japanese flyer, who has made just two League Cup appearances for the side this season, spent last season on loan at Feyernoord.

Miyaichi is not considered ready for the demands of domestic league competition and may be handed another loan spell.

With the Gunners now out of the Carling Cup, their attention is on the Premier League.

Ligue 1 side Valenciennes are hopeful of securing a deal for the Arsenal man to help assist their survival bid and boost their goal threat, which has seen them net just 16 goals in as many games this season.

The 18-year-old's lightning pace has already seen comparisons drawn between himself and Cristiano Ronaldo..

But manager Arsene Wenger clearly feels more experience out on loan will help prepare Miyaichi for a future spell in the Arsenal first-team.
