Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has the greatest respect for Arsenal and considers them as everyone’s second favourite team, despite their transfer turmoil.

The Gunners this week flogged Cesc Fabregas and are set to lose Samir Nasri to Manchester City.

“It’s not going to make it any easier for us that they’ve lost Fabregas, or that Nasri might not be playing and they’ve got a couple of suspensions,” said Dalglish, who squares off against Arsene Wenger on Saturday.

“It’s still a difficult game for us and they’re still a team that I have the greatest respect for,” he was quoted as saying in ‘The Sun’.

The North Londoners’ fans are growing restless as their trophy famine continues.

Dalglish added: “Arsenal have been most football fans’ second team, they’ve been very entertaining to watch.

“Unfortunately for Arsenal they haven’t won anything for six years, which is the monkey they’d love to get off their back.”
