Arsenal fans can breathe a sigh of relief at the news that Theo Walcott would be fit to face Olympiakos in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Walcott pulled up in the dying stages of Arsenal’s 3-0 win against Bolton on Saturday.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger initially feared the 22-year-old had pulled a hamstring but now the winger’s injury has been described as “minor”, according to reports in the British press.

Walcott could now feature in an important week for the Gunners, who face Tottenham next Sunday after they host the Greek side.

Wenger had confessed to being “very worried” after Walcott crumpled to the pitch with no one near him, complaining of a “sharp pain in the knee”. The forward was unable to continue and Arsenal, having already made three substitutions, finished the game with 10 men.
