Over 2,000 registered property brokers in Dubai will no longer have to queue up at the Dubai Land Department (DLD) office for registering a property transfer.

The department has launched an online appointment system whereby registered brokers can fill in the details of a property, such as the buyer’s name, address, value of the deal, etc. online, and the data will then be used to complete the property transfer.

Title deeds will be issued in not more than 45 minutes, a senior official of the DLD told this website. “Two to three transactions have been registered using our new system. We are now sending notices and asking all registered brokers to use this system,” Mohammed Sultan Thani, Assistant Director-General of Land Department, told Emirates 24/7.

“Once the agent registers on the system and enters all the details of the transaction, he will be given a set time. This will save their time and allow us to complete the process at a faster pace.”

Currently, the system is not available for individuals. They will have to take an appointment and be present at the given time to complete their transaction.
