Arsenal will be reminded just how good it used to be to have Cesc Fabregas – and just what a let-down he could be as well when he is not on form.
The Gunners goalkeeper Wojeich Szczesny preferred to mock Fabregas’ hairstyle, tweeting: "Well done England for beating Spain but someone has to tell Cesc to sort out his hair!!"
Fabregas' usual slick style was missing as he returned to north London for the first time since leaving Arsenal in the summer.
Fabregas' finishing lacked its typical razor sharpness as he missed a great opportunity to draw Spain level in stoppage time.
Arsenal may now be glad they sold him… or are they?
