IPL 7 T20 DD vs MI: Delhi notch easy win over Mumbai

Delhi Daredevils notched their second win of IPL 7 with a comfortable six-wicket win with seven balls to spare over Mumbai Indians at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Chasing a small target 126, DD made 126-4 in 18.5 overs.

Opener Murali Vijay led the way with a fluent 40 off 34 balls which contained four boundaries and a six.

Duminy chipped in with 19 while skipper Kevin Pietersen steered them home with a crisp unbeaten 26 off 18 balls with two boundaries and a six.

There was a bit of wobble when Malinga grabbed a couple of wickets to finish with two for 17 but Mumbai remain winless in four outings.

DELHI INNINGS

Malinga completes his spell with figures of 4-0-17-2. DD 118-4 in 18 overs.

Jadhav gets a boundary off Zaheer. DD 112-4 in 17 overs.

Malinga has struck a double blow with Karthik clipping to midwicket where Rayudu takes a superb catch. DD 105-4 in 16 overs.

Ojha comes into the attack from the other end and is despatched to the cover boundary by Vijay. DD 12-0 in 2 overs.

Quinton hits the first boundary of the innings flicking Malinga to fine leg. DD 6-0- in 1 over.

MUMBAI INNINGS

A late flurry from Mumbai who pummelled 56 from the last five overs helped them make 125-6 in their 20 overs after opting to bat first.

MI never got going on a slow surface getting off to a disastrous start with skipper Rohit Sharma being run out in the second over.

Pollard lifted them with an unbeaten 33 off 30 balls which was studded with two boundaries and two massive sixes.

Gautam chipped in with a useful 22 while lusty blows from Harbhajan in the final over.

Unadkat had the best return of two 29 while Nadeem and Parnell also picked up a wicket apiece.

Mumbai are unchanged while Kedhar Jadhav comes in place of Manoj Tiwary for Daredevils.
