IPL 7 T20 SRH vs RCB: Hyderabad crush Bangalore by 7 wickets

Sunrisers Hyderabad kept alive their slim hopes of qualifying for the IPL 7 Playoffs by crushing Royal Challengers Bangalore by seven wicket with two balls to spare in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Chasing a target of 161, Hyderabad replied with 161-3 in 19.4 overs after being given a flying start by their opening pair.

Dhawan (50) and Warner (59) shared in a stand of exactly 100 to put SRH on course to a comfortable victory.

Dhawan's knock was spiced with seven hits to the fence and one over it while Warner smashes four sixes and three boudaries.

Finch and skipper Sammy kept their cool to steer SRH home after Ojha chipped in with 24 which contained two sixes.

Sunrisers and Challengers both have 10 points each with net run rate separating them.

Aaron claimed two for 36.

Earlier, a solid half century by Virat Kohli (67 off 41 balls) helped RCB make a competitive 160-6 after opting bat first against SRH.

Kohli's first half century of IPL 7 was studded with four boundaries and four sixes.

There were cameos by Yuvraj (21) and AB de Villiers (29).

Kohli shared in a 61-run stand for the fourth wicket with AB de Villiers.

Kumar claimed two for 27 while Steyn finished with fine figures of 4-0-23-0.

HYDERABAD INNINGS

Sammy hit the winning runs as Sunrisers win their final home match of the season by seven wickets with two balls to spare against RCB.

Sunrisers need four off the last over to be bowled by Starc. SRH 157-3 in 19 overs.

Ojha departs after slamming Aaron for an extraordinary six over point. SRH 150-3 in 18.4 overs.

Ojha opens out slamming Chahal over long-off for a towering six. SRH 111-1 in 14 overs.

Dhawan's wonderful innings comes to an end being run out caused by a slight hesitation in going for the single. SRH 100-1 in 12.3 overs.

Dhawan tucks Murali for a single to complete his half century off 39 balls.

Warner seems to be in a hurry whacking Chahal's first two deliveries over the midwicket fence as SRH seem to be racing to victory. SRH 97-0 in 12 overs.

Warner dances down the track and clobbers Murali over long on for his first six while Dhawan thumps him inside out over extra cover for a boundary. SRH 83-0 in 11 overs.

Chahal has Warner in a tangle while Dhawan survives a run out attempt. SRH 72-0 in 10 overs.

Dhawan gets another boundary off Ahmed as Hyderabad seemed to be cruising. SRH 68-0 in 9 overs.
