IPL6: Pune win as Delhi finish last

Pune Warriors India posted a comprehensive 38-run win over Delhi Daredevils to avoid the wooden spoon in IPL.

Chasing a target of 173, Delhi failed to get going to finish on 134-9 and end up last in the competition.

Gautam was the top scorer with 30 while Pathan chipped in with 24 at the end.

Left arm spinner Murtaza claimed three for 15, Mathews three for 14 and Dinda two for 21 to choke Delhi.

Earlier, Aaron Finch (52) and Luke Wright (44) powered Pune Warriors India to their highest score of 172-5 this season after opting to bat first.

Finch led the way with a 34-ball 52 which contained four sixes and three boundaries.

Wright figured in an enterprising 71-run stand for the fifth wicket with Angelo Mathews who remained unbeaten on 30 off 22 balls.

Wright smashed seven boundaries and a six in his 23-ball 44.

Kaul had the best return of two for 27.
