Younis Khan was unbeaten on 141 as Pakistan reached 405-3 at lunch on day two of the second Test against Australia in Abu Dhabi on Friday.
Misbah-ul Haq was also batting on 55 not out after Pakistan resumed at 304-2 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium and lost Azhar Ali for 109.
Ali added 236 for the third wicket with Younis -- a new Pakistan record against Australia, beating the previous 223-run stand between Javed Miandad and Taslim Arif at Faisalabad in 1980.
Pakistan lead the two-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test by 221 runs in Dubai.
