Pakistan hopeful of hosting India in 2013

Pakistan to tour West Indies in July

With the resumpition of bilateral series after a gap of five years, Pakistan is hopeful India would make a reciprocal visit in August next year.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had sorted out the stumbling block of West Indies wanting to split their home series.

"There had been a suggestion to split the tour but now it is confirmed for July," a Pakistan Cricket Board official said on Wednesday.

Pakistan will tour West Indies next year to play two Tests, five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 match.

The PCB insisted on the tour in July as it is planning to convince the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to play a series in August when both teams have windows open in the period in the ICC future tours programme, according to PTI.

"Pakistan is very hopeful and keen that India can be convinced to come to Pakistan because India has made it clear it does not have a policy of playing any bilateral series in a third country," it said quoting unnamed sources.

Pakistan are currently touring India currently for a five-match T20 and one-day international series, the first bilateral series since the Mumbai terror attacks.

Pakistan have not played an international match on home soil since 2009 when armed militants attacked Sri Lanka's team bus in Lahore.
