English Premier League club Arsenal are close to signing Chile winger Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona, reports said on Tuesday.
Manager Arsene Wenger told talkSPORT the club expected to finalise the transfer by Wednesday, the radio station reported.
Retired England centre-forward and football pundit Stan Collymore tweeted "Sanchez will join Arsenal tomorrow for 35 million Euros. 4 year contract."
Arsenal were also confident of completing a deal to sign Newcastle and France national defender Mathieu Debuchy later in the week, reports said.
Arsenal did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
