13 Brazilians in UAE football clubs

Players from 17 countries power clubs playing the national league

Brazilians top the list of foreigners in the UAE football league this year with 13 players enlisted different teams.

However, for the first time no Iranian players are in the field, arabian language daily Al Ittihad reported Wednesday.

Players from 17 countries from Asia, Latin America and the Arab region are part of the league this year.

The arrival of Italian star Fabio Cannavaro has been a major highlight.

Foreign players in UAE clubs are mainly from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Ghana, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Morocco besides GCC states Bahrain and Oman.
