In football, momentum is everything. It takes a mountain to climb to get a winning habit going and only one loss to end it all.
Arsenal and Arsene Wenger will do well to remember that.
Against Liverpool Arsenal displayed a steely determination far removed from their tiki-taka days.
They stuck in there and stole the winner. Quite unlike any Arsenal team of the recent past.
Now, they must use the same pragmatism when AC Milan come to visit tonight at the Emirates.
Media reports suggest that Wenger might go with four strikers up front in an attempt to do the impossible – turn over a four goal lead that the Rossoneri bring with them.
Milan are not Tottenham. They will clamp down with ease and steal on the break with Robinho and Ibrahimovic move than capable.
The danger is in attempting to score five goals, Arsenal will ship three and end a winning streak.
The winning momentum will be lost and with games in the Premier League, like City at home to come, Wenger will put at risk what looks like a pretty assured fourth place finish now.
Wenger was quoted this morning as saying: "It [beating Milan] will certainly be my most amazing achievement. I will be extremely pleased and happy with it."
And Wenger hinted he may play four strikers as he has only two midfielders available.
Mikel Arteta is out as a precaution after a head injury against Liverpool, and Abou Diaby and Aaron Ramsey are also out.
Alex Song and Tomas Rosicky are available but even the Czech is a doubt with a groin problem.
The Arsenal chief added: "I have to see if Rosicky is available or not. If he is not, I will be in a very difficult situation.
"He told me yesterday that he will play. But the medical staff are not sure. I can take a risk because I have no choice, basically."
The risk he takes is risking Arsenal’s fragile confidence.
