Carvalho to Spurs keeps Modric from Chelsea

Croatian playmaker wants to leave Tottenham

Real Madrid are willing to offer Ricardo Carvalho in a bid to get Luka Modric, according to The Sun.

Former Chelsea star Carvalho, 34, worked with new Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas at Porto.

Croatian playmaker Modric, 26, wants to leave Tottenham and has made it clear playing for Jose Mourinho is his only choice of destination.

He is also wanted by Chelsea and Manchester United.

Spurs are resigned to losing the player but want £35 million after rejecting bids from Chelsea a year ago.
