Liverpool bleeding: Reina to go as well

AC Milan are lining up a move for the Reds goalkeeper

Liverpool could be plunged into a major crisis as AC Milan are considering a move for goalkeeper Pepe Reina, according to the Daily Mail.

The Italian giants are looking to rebuild their squad after losing their Serie A title to Juventus last month.

Having rejected a £37 million bid from Paris Saint-Germain for Thiago Silva they want to strengthen their defence further, it added.

Incumbent Milan No 1 Christian Abbiati turns 35 this summer and although he enjoys cult status at the club, Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri was not convinced by his performances last season.

Reina, 29, is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world and has been a rock solid figure at Anfield.

The former Barcelona and Villarreal goalkeeper is at Euro 2012 with Spain and has not yet met new Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.

Liverpool's fortress may be about to crumble as Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala are also lining up a move for Liverpool's Slovakia defender Martin Skrtel.

Reina let too many shots go in through his legs! He needs to concentrate more.

Pepe Reina and Martin Skrtel aah. I would happily see both of them leave for big money, from whoever wants to pay the dollar. 'Yes I said it' There are better keepers out there and as for Skrtel c`mon he just ain`t that good. Please sell em both 30 mill for the pair. Some crisis!

Two years ago I would have been totally against moving Pepe. As it stands now, we desperately need to bring in a few players and we've blown all our kitty last year on what appears to be mediocre players. If we can flip Reina for enough cash to get a goalscorer and one or two young pacey wingers with talent, I'm all for selling Pepe. (Also, not crazy about his comments about preferring Rafa while Liverpool was trying to replace King Kenny.)

He is more of a celebrity to liverpool, he has paid his dues to the totality by given his best as far as consistency is concern.Iam asking us not to stand on his way and we inturn should look 4 a very good younger keeper.

One name pops up for me if Pepe really lives, Vorm of Swansea. LFC should let him go and then go for Vorm next summer, we've enough back up in terms of goalies to last us a season, who knows the second choice goalie has got to have a lot to knock Pepe off his perch, so this could be their chance to claim the spot if Pepe goes. In the end, we might not need to buy another goalie.

I rate Reina below par at lfc. Rodgers should shop for a class keeper

If Reina wants to leave the club should not stand in his way. Liverpool must get as much as they can from his sale so that the money can be re injected back into the club for quality additions.

Reina is the most problem we have in our squad, we need experience keeper not pep reina who can save one single goal.

Last season Reina's blunders costed Liverpool lot of points and he didn't make up for them either in other games. That has to be Reina's worst season ever in Liverpool shirt but still he is world class and next season he can't do worse this season and even if he has an average season according to his standards that will be good enough for Liverpool. IMO Liverpool shouldn't sell him unless he wants to move out.

If liverpool lose these players then we in a crisis .Goalkeepers can play longer than any in field player and Reina is of the highest quality and Dhoni does not come anywhere near him .Agger & Skirtle have also improved their game , but are also very injury prone . Pool need to spend money to get quality players in order to get Champions League status. After Benitez's 2nd place finish behind Utd a few years ago , we have fallen way behind .Time for Liverpool FC to catch a wake up .

Have any of them left? Stop making it sound as if its done deal. Even if Reina ad Skrtel leaves I dont think we'll be suffering so much.
