Everybody has a touch of Spain, except Manchester United.

On Sunday, against Liverpool he probably realised why.

His midfield was so bad it was embarassing at times.

This is why Sir Alex Ferguson may be insistent that Manchester United nail the latest Spanish talent Malaga’s Isco.

Mata and Torres at Chelsea, Cazorla at Arsenal, David Silva at City, even Swansea have Michu.

Spanish flair seems to be key for teams at the moment and Chelsea sitting at the top of the table certainly displays what a matador or two are worth.

However, according to ‘The People’, Tottenham and Liverpool are also vying for price January move for Isco.

Premier League scouts were on hand to watch the Malaga striker destroy Zenit St Petersburg in his Champions League debut on Tuesday.

According to The Mirror (https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-and-liverpool-lead-chase-for-spanish-1338880), Isco, who has four years to run on his contract has a £16million buyout clause.

Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini was quoted as saying, “He is a player who has a great future. Nobody knows what his limit is.”

While Carrick and Fletcher are back that creative spark – that say a Silva or a Cazorla boast – is missing from the United midfield.

Could Isco be the one to take Paul Scholes’ place.
