Former Chelsea star Arjen Robben is relishing the prospect of making a return to the Premier League after his masterly performance at Wembley, the Mirror reported in an exclusive.

The Bayern Munich striker signalled his intentions after scoring twice in Holland’s 3-2 win over England to silence his critics in the Bundesliga.

Robben, who had three hugely successful seasons with Chelsea, said: “I don’t have an ideal situation in Germany.

“I am now considering the options I have and I will get."

Robben, 28, has one year to run on his Bayern contract and could escape this summer for a bargain £10 million fee.

That valuation is sure to interest his former club Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.

“It was great to play at Wembley and to see many people I know. It was only my second international game for Holland since the World Cup and it was great that this was in London at Wembley,” said Robben who was a massive success with Chelsea before moving to Real Madrid and then switching to the German giants.

Robben’s biggest problems at Bayern are team mates and media who claim he is too selfish. Bayern legend Franz Beckenbauer has criticised the striker for celebrating goals on his own. “He should be thanking team mates who work so hard for him.”.

But former Holland superstar Marco van Basten claims that Robben is special because he can create goals out of nothing.

“There are not many players who can start a run in their own half and score at the other end. He is quick, gifted and is always explosive," said Van Basten..

Joris Mathijsen, Robben’s international colleague, said: “Apart from Lionel Messi only Arjen Robben can decide a game at the very highest level with solo power and acceleration."
