IPL KKR vs GL: Gujarat Lions thump Kolkata by 5 wickets

Gujarat Lions thumped Kolkata Knight Riders by five wickets at Eden Gardens on Sunday.

Chasing a target of 159, Lions rode on a solid half century by Karthik (51) after a flying start by openers Smith (27) and McCullum (29) to romp to victory with two overs to spare.

Finch belted a 10-ball 29 smashing two sixes and three boundaries as Lions made 164-5 in 18 overs.

Unbeaten half centuries by Shakib Al Hasan (66) and Yusuf Pathan (63) during an unbroken stand of 134 helped KKR recover from 24-4 to make 158-4 after being put into bat.

Shakib cracked four sixes and four boundaries while Pathan smashes seven boundaries and a six.

Pathan completes a 31-ball 50 putting the KKR innings back on track. KKR 108-4, 16 overs.

Another blow for Kolkata as Raina takes a stunning catch at slip to send back Suryakumar Yadav perishes. KKR 24-4, 5.5 overs.
