Alubond Tigers triumph in 8th Al Dhaid Ramadan Cup

An unbeaten half century by Rameez Shahzad steered Alubond Tigers to victory over Red Flowers Tourism in the 8th Al Dhaid Ramadan Cup at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The tournament was organised by Sharjah Cricket Council.

Red Flower Tourism posted 169 for eight in 20 overs with Ubadah Barmawar top scoring with 51.

Chasing, Alubond Tigers lost two wickets in quick succession, but Shahid Sadiquee kept them in the hunt by hammering five sixes and two boundaries in his knock of 45.

Shahzad and Amjad Gul shared an unbroken 166-run partnership for the fourth wicket as Alubond Tigers achieved the target in the final over.

Shahzad slammed seven sixes and a boundary in his 86 not out while Gul remained unbeaten on 23.
