The Finali Mondiali Ferrari to be held from December 3 to 6 at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina circuit is set to thrill motoring fans in the UAE with fantastic racing action as well as some spectacular cars that are very rarely seen in public.

No fewer 17 F1 single-seaters will participate in the event – the highest number of Ferrari F1 cars ever seen at a Final Mondiali.

More than 300 Ferrari owners from around the GCC region and over 200 cars from around the world have confirmed their participation in the annual event, staged by Ferrari.

A spectacular parade around the 5.5 km of the Abu Dhabi circuit featuring around 200 Ferrari cars, as well as the exclusive cars that make up the 599XX and FXX programmes, including 74 Challenge cars, the 17 F1 single-seater cars and 19 XX programme models, will be among the main highlights on Saturday evening.

Tani Hanna, the only champion from the Middle East participating in the Ferrari Challenge series for the last season 2013/2014 achieving two wins and eight podiums in total, will participate in three races at the event.

Speaking at the press briefing Hanna said: “It is indeed a great honour for me to participate and compete in the Ferrari Challenge Coppa Shell as well as the Gentlemen Cup events in Abu Dhabi. I will also be racing in the Finali Mondiali (World Final) on Saturday with rival drivers from Europe and North America. I encourage all UAE motorsport fans to come and enjoy this experience of a lifetime and support the only car bearing the UAE national flag.”

Making an appearance for Scuderia Ferrari will be Ferrari F1 driver Kimi Raikkonen, current FIA WEC World Champions Gimmi Bruni and Toni Vilander, Ferrari F1 test driver Marc Gené, former F1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella, and Davide Rigon and James Calado, who most recently won the World Endurance Championship in Bahrain on November 17, at the wheel of the Ferrari 458 GTEPro.

Apart from the racing, the main highlight is the appearance of the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team, who will put on demonstration runs, with pit stops, burnouts and starts on the Yas Marina circuit.

Also on track will be the Ferrari GT cars that took part in the most prestigious GT championships including the 458 GTE, the current FIA WEC championship winning car that was also victorious in the 2014 Le Mans 24 Hours, in the hands of  Gimmi Bruni, Toni Vilander and Giancarlo Fisichella.

The key ingredients of the Finali Mondiali weekend are sport, passion and racing, as well as the unbeatable show put on by the historic Formula 1 cars.

It brings down the curtain on the racing year with the final races of the three Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli series, Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific and the grand finale on Saturday, which will feature a record number of 458 Challenge cars fighting it out for the title of World Champion.

The weekend also features a display of some amazing Ferrari classic cars that have beaten all world records in the most important car auctions.

A host of other activities are being organised in the paddock and other areas around the track, as well as something specifically for the kids.

The attractions of the nearby Ferrari World, the first theme park dedicated to the Maranello marque, with all its rides, including the adrenalin rush of the Formula Rossa rollercoaster, together ensure plenty of Prancing Horse fun for the whole family.
