Fly Emirates, Multiplex score easy victories

Fly Emirates and Multiplex registered convincing victories Power Horse T20 – 2015 cricket tournament at the Fair Ground Oval in Dubai Men’s College at the Academic City.

The tournament, which is held under the partnership of the Dubai Cricket Council, is organised by Power Horse Energy Drinks and managed by CricOn Sports Services.

Fly Emirates thumped Radio4 by 130 runs.

Opting to bat first, Fly Emirates were led by a superb unbeaten half century from Nigel Fernandes made  185 for five in 20 overs. His 55 came off 41 balls including four boundaries and a six.

Radio4 were bundled out for a modest 55. UAE star Krishna Chandran claimed four wickets.

In the other match, Sapandeep Singh smashed a superb century to guide Multiplex to a huge 133-run victory over Hard Hitters.

Batting first, Mutiplex got off to a strong start with openers Sapandeep and Fawad Khan adding 162 runs.
Sapandeep made 101 while Fawad Khan hit 58 as Multiplex amassed 218 for two in 20 overs.

In reply, Hard Hitters had a terrible start losing six wickets for just seven runs and were tottering at 24 for eight.

Thanks to a fine 67 from 40 balls including six boundaries and four sixes as Hard Hitters made 85 in 15.4 overs.

Razik Khan claimed five wickets.
