Golden Tower triumph in 6th UAQ T20 League

Golden Tower scored a comfortable five-wicket victory over SPF Realty to emerge champions in the 6th Umm Al Quwain T20 League organised by the Umm Al Quwain Cricket Association.

The tournament was held under the supervision of the Emirates Cricket Board and played under the auspices of the Ajman Cricket Council and Domestic Cricket Development Committee.

Winning the toss and opting to bat, SPF Realty made 178 for nine in 20 overs with Prajakat Chauhan firing a 23-ball 44 containing eight boundaries and a six.

Chasing a challenging target, Golden Tower needed a strong show from their batsmen and that came in the form of Adnan Arif and Varun Ratnakar who scored superb half centuries.

Arif scored 52 from 32 deliveries with the help of five boundaries and three sixes, while man of the match Ratnakar found the fence eight times and twice over it during his 30-ball 54.

Waheed Ahmed provided the final touches scoring the final 31 not out from 19 deliveries while Amjad Gujjar chipped in with a 11-ball 17 including two boundaries as Golden Tower crossed the winning line in 15.3 overs.
