Maxwell, Miller fire Kings XI Punjab

Kings XI Punjab notched their second win of IPL 7 after chasing down a target of 192 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

After Rajasthan Royals put into bat made 191-5 propelled by half centuries from Samson (52) and Watson (50), Punjab replied with 193-3 in 18.4 overs spurred by a scintillating knock by Maxwell (89).

Miller provided the finish with a brilliant 19-ball unbeaten 51 which was studded with six sixes.

PUNJAB INNINGS

Miller smashes Faulkner over extra cover for his sixth maximum as Punjab beat Rajasthan by seven wickets and eight balls to spare.

Miller remained unbeaten on a 19-ball unbeaten 51 as Punjab chased down the stiff target of 192.

Maxwell led the run chase with a brilliant 45-ball 89 which contained eight boundaries and six sixes during a 116-run stand for the third wicket with the sedate Pujara who was unbeaten on 40 off 38 balls which contained three hits to the ropes.

Kulkarni goes for 27 with Miller blasting four sixes. KXIP 182-3 in 18 overs.

Faulkner goes for 12 with Pujara getting a boundary. Punjab need 37 off the last three overs. KXIP 155-3 in 17 overs.

RAJASTHAN INNINGS

Rajasthan propelled by delightful half centuries from Sanju Samson (52) and Shane Watson (50) made 191-5 in 20 overs after being put into bat.

Samson smashed four sixes and three boundaries in his 32-ball 52 while Watson clubbed five boundaries and three sixes in his 29-ball 50 sharing ina 74-run stand for the third wicket.

Balaji bowls a good final over conceding just a boundary to Smith who remains unbeaten on 27 off 15 with five boundaries as Rajasthan finish on 191-5 in 20 overs.

Faulkner whacks Johnson over his head for a six. RR 183-5 in 19 overs.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) face Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the seventh match of the IPL 7 (Indian Premier League) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

RR won their first match of this year's IPL by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday.

KXIP too began their IPL campaign with a stunning victory against Chennai Super Kings on Friday.
