UAE vie for honours in Asian Bodybuilding Championships at Almaty

UAE will be represented by four athletes at the AFBF Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships to be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan from May 31 to June 3.

They will vie for honours in four heavyweight categories in the Men's Bodybuilding Championships.

UAE's representatives are Khaled Ibrahim Mussa Maslaoh Al Balooshi (65kg), Talal Mohammed Saeed Salem Al Abdullah (75kg), Mohammed Malallah Al Ali (75kg) and Saeed Juma Al Mas Mubarak (80kg).

There will also be competitions for Men's Junior Bodybuilding, Men's Masters Bodybuilding, Men's Fitness, Women's Bodybuilding, Women's Fitness and Women's Bodyfitness.

This will be the first international competition participation for UAE since being readmitted to the IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) April.

The 10-member UAE delegation which left for Almaty on Wednesday is headed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Vice-President of the Emirates Bodybuilding Federation (EBBF).

He will attend the sixth Congress of the AFBF (Asian Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) together with Abdul karim Mohammed Saeed Bilal, general secretary of EBBF.

Zawayed Salmeen Al Za’aby is the manager of the team which also includes Mohammed Shaheen Al Hawsany (referee), Issa Hassan Ibrahim Ahmed (Trainer) and  Ibrahim Mubarak Al Dahmany (Assistant coach).
