After successfully its fifth international boxing championship, EMD Sports Services and Golden Cage Promotions have once again teamed up for yet another exciting event that will give local boxers an opportunity to earn exposure to millions of boxing fans worldwide.

The event has its inherited value as this is the second Boxing Championship in the UAE with title 'Destiny In The Desert' after the success of the inaugural edition in 2007.

Fighters from ten to 12 countries will be in Dubai for two weeks, to participate in the fascinating sporting event.

Besides other fighters the event will include UAE’s only international professional boxer Eisa Al Dah who is billed to fight Kevin McCauley.

The idea of Destiny In The Desert Boxing Championship came when UAE made its mark at the highest level in the world of professional boxing by producing its first-ever professional international boxer Eisa Aldah in 2007.

The concept behind 'Destiny In The Desert' is to create the destiny of professional boxing in the deserts of UAE and build boxing as an economic industry of the region.

There has been a rapid growth since 'Destiny In The Desert I' and boxing has enhanced its reputation in the region shown by the increase in ticket sales.

The last event in 2007 witnessed an attendance of more than 3,000 spectators prompting organisers to increase seating for next month’s event to 5,000 people.
In addition, there will be 150 special VVIP guests, ranging from the Royal Family to influential businessmen, who will be invited to the fight night.

The match cards will feature professional mixed martial arts fighters from various parts of the world, a core aspect of EMD Sports Services’ continuous commitment to the sport following extensive market research in the field.

There will other things on offer during the night bringing in a combination of live performances and entertainment in between the fights.

The event will be covered live by Dubai Sports TV with open source for other sports channels coverage and live streaming will be available on EMD Sports Services and other sports related websites.

'The Destiny In The Desert' is now a registered trademark of EMD Sports Services and will be held annually to become a brand of professional boxing and mixed martial arts in the region.

The gates for the championship will open at 6:30pm and the boxing extravaganza will start at 7.30pm and go on till midnight.
