Dog fighting draws in Kabul crowds

AFGHANISTAN, Kabul: Dog fights in Afghanistan were banned under the Taliban regime as un-Islamic but they are proving popular once again. Held in vacant car parks on a weekly basis, spectators place bets on the outcome of the matches which end as soon as one dog shows absolute domination. The main fighting season takes place over the winter months, starting in November.
