Man chasing thief shoots friend by mistake

A Saudi man chasing a thief with a gun accidentally shot his friend who was also running after the thief in the middle of night.

A YouTube film published in the Saudi daily Ajel showed the friend lying on the floor bleeding and groaning in pain as his armed friend kept shouting in shock.

The paper said the man rushed his friend, identified as Hakeem, to hospital but it was not clear how serious his injury was. It also did not say where in Saudi Arabia the incident took place.
