Video: Grandfather showers newborn with cash

A Saudi man delighted by his first grandson used a large sum of money to celebrate his birth by planting the notes around the baby’s head in his cot.

A YouTube film published in Ajel newspaper showed the man happily stroking the baby’s mouth before be started splashing the notes around him.

The paper said the grandfather placed SR thousands around the baby’s head and pledged to pay for his wedding when he grows up. It did not mention where in Saudi Arabia the man lives.
