Woman hair stuck in moving escalator

A 32-year-old woman was chewed up by an escalator in a Harlem subway station Wednesday after she collapsed and her hair got snagged in the moving stairs, sources said.

The woman, an epileptic, had just stepped on the escalator when she suddenly fainted and her hair caught in the stairs in the W. 125th St. station at Broadway about 3:30 p.m., the sources said.

Emergency workers shut the escalator down and freed the woman, who suffered cuts to her face, legs and arms by the teeth of the metal stairs.
