Wife kills husband to defend baby

A Saudi woman who killed her husband in the Gulf Kingdom on Sunday told police she did so to defend her new born son after his father tried to kill him.

Police arrested the woman in her 20s on Sunday after she used a kitchen knife to stab her husband in the neck during a fight at their home in the Western town of Taif.

“She told police that her husband tried to strangle their baby with a pillow to stop him from crying at night. She said she had no choice but to stab him to save the life of her son,” ‘Sada’ newspaper said.
