‘Youth Circles’ is one of the initiatives approved recently by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as part of the 100-day Action Plan of the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, to promote sustainable communication with the UAE youth and understand the ideas of the youth to find solutions to various challenges. It will also help provide a better incubator environment to realize their dreams and aspirations, and enable them to play a key role in the development process of the country.

The minister said the youth in the UAE have attained a high degree of maturity and awareness to create effective solutions to challenges and actively participate in the efforts to shape the country’s future.

She explained that ‘Youth Circles’ is a platform for positive interaction aimed at listening to the voice of young Emiratis in a new and innovative way. The Youth Circles meetings will be held periodically throughout the year in all the emirates and cities in the UAE. Any young Emirati can register for the initiative through a smart platform designed to serve this goal.

During the first meeting of the ‘Youth Circles’, Mazrui will present a work paper to review the basic skills of the future which youth must acquire at the present to be ready for the future requirements.

The ‘Youth Circles’ will showcase the best practices and discuss the most important issues, opportunities and challenges related to areas such as: national identity, innovation, entrepreneurship, localization, happiness, sustainability, health, education, economy, technology, and others.

The ‘Youth Circles’ reflect the UAE’s efforts to promote unity and community participation as well as raise the level of communication between government and citizens to ensure the provision of innovative solutions that exceed the aspirations of the people.

The Emirates Youth Council will oversee and organize the ‘Youth Circles’ in all areas of the UAE, including universities, schools, institutions, parks, commercial centres and sports clubs.
