Salman Khan to have a New Year bash in Dubai

Bollywood hunk Salman Khan who turns 46 today (December 27) is all set to celebrate his birthday with his family and close friends in his farmhouse at Panvel in Navi Mumbai.

The actor’s birthday party will be closely followed by a special New Year bash in Dubai, where he will be joined by almost the same set of family members and friends.

Salman might have chosen to have a low-key celebration given his ill health earlier in the year. Health wise, lady luck has not been smiling at him in 2011.

The actor underwent an eight-hour surgery in the US in September to treat a nerve disorder, Trigeminal Neuralgia (that causes a stabbing or electric-shock-like pain in parts of the face).

He had been suffering from the disorder for seven years, and is likely to undergo another surgery in January 2012 if his doctors deem it necessary.

The 'King of Aces,' as he is fondly called by a renowned Bollywood film critic, has not let his health affect his professional or personal life.

Salman consolidated his numero uno position in Bollywood and is currently the most bankable star at the box office. Both his releases this year, 'Ready' and 'Bodyguard', were among the top five grossers of all time.

Sallu has also been in the news for his bitter spat with friend turned foe Shah Rukh Khan. The die-hard Khan fans in Dubai might get to witness a face-off around the New Year as both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan plan to usher in 2012 in the emirate with their family members and selective close friends.
